Before I read these articles I knew that you could take pictures of things in public places.
That's common sense because you have the right to use your camera or cellphone to take
pictures if you want to, unless there's a sign that says that you can't. I have been told to stop
taking pictures in a public space, which is a museum. I was taking pictures of certain art pieces
that was being displayed out on the walls. I was told to stop because the flash would harm the
pictures and I never understood how the flash off a camera could harm the art in museums. Whenever
I go to museums I always have my phone with me anyway at all times, but I think of not taking pictures
because there's always those securities that's always staring at you. I always thought I would get
caught so I didn't bother taking pictures there at all.
I agree with these issues and I think they are fair. For example, if you're taking pictures on
someone's property, they have the right to tell you to get off their property. Another example
is, having the right to photograph in a plain view. I agree with that completely. There's no reason
you should not be able to photograph in a plain view if nothing serious is there. All the other rights
that are explained in those two articles are fair, nobody should have a problem following those rights.
