Improve portraits

How I edited: Used exposure even the darks and lights in the photo. Used the white brush to block out the girl on the left and the background because it looked nice like that. I put up the clarity.
What worked: the exposure was just right
What didn't work: Putting the clarity to hight & the white balance

Focus On Forms- Byonantz Hilaire

During this project, I learned a lot more things about lighting and photographing close objects. I learned that when you shoot an object from too far away it lacks visual impact but when I zoom in or take it more close up it will be more clear and able to catch someone's attention. About lighting, I learned that the image appears bright partly because of what light source you use. For instance, I would sometimes user a lamp or a umbrella as a source of light. I developed the skill to use light better because usually my pictures come out dark. I also need to practice more on making images more in focus and making them to be less blurry.

APERTURE

F. 2.8
F. 11
F. 22

These are my picture examples of small, medium, and large aperture settings. In the first picture, the aperture was large so the picture was darker, and as I made the settings higher, it became more brighter.  I noticed that the first picture was more in focus, the second one started to get out of focus, and the third one was out of focus. I struggled with blurriness of pictures, because that kept happening when I set the aperture to f.22.
